Plant #1 > UC - Raw Water Treatment Facilities
The UC plant produces and supplies utilities (air and water) required for the production process and operates pollution prevention facilities (wastewater treatment plant, VOC incinerator, flare stack). The plant is broadly divided into 3 sections: AS (Air Separation), WT (Water Treatment), and WWT (Wastewater Treatment).
■ Production process
01 Settling Tank
It eliminates solids and colloids through high-gravity reactive precipitation
02 Sand Filter
It eliminates solids using sand.
03 Activated Carbon Column
It eliminates organic matter using activated carbon.
04 Ion Exchange Resin Tower
It produces boiler water for steam generation by eliminating the ion content from water using an ion exchange resin.
05 Detector
It eliminates oxygen in water by heating the water using steam.
