Plant #1 > BD - BN1

The BD plant produces high value-added butadiene through the use of the mixed C4 produced from the naphtha cracking plant as raw material. Over 99.5 wt% of high-purity butadiene products are produced through the stages of the first, second extractive distillations and BD refining. Butadiene is primarily used as raw material for synthetic rubber.

01 MTBE Process (R2 Refining Process)

As c4 Raff passes through the R2 high-purity refining process, it eliminates iso-Butene by MTBE using MeOH.

02 BN1 Process

It is a refining process wherein Butene-1 is refined at 2 towers with high boiling point and 2 towers with low boiling point. Products generated from C4 Raff2 mtbe and butenone mtb are used as raw material for butenone.
